Asteroid Tones is a live data sonification of asteroids passing Earth today. It pulls data from NASA's Near Earth Object API to create a time-dependent soundscape of space around Earth.

Here's how to understand the sonification:

1. Low notes represent large asteroids, while higher notes represent smaller ones.
2. Asteroids closer to Earth produce sounds more frequently than those farther away.

Each asteroid travels around the center (the Sun, in yellow) and passes by Earth (blue dot) at a speed proportional to its velocity. Sun and Earth not proportional and only used for illustrative purposes. Built with p5.js and Tone.js.
